If you want to stay healthy you need to practice preventative maintenance consistently. This must be done in order to minimize the risk of health problems throughout a lifetime. One of the best ways to avoid the flu is by getting a flu shot before the flu season. Before exercising doing some stretching can effectively prevent any muscle injuries. Employ the same ideas as above in your tooth care. Avoiding problems with your teeth is best done through thorough cleaning on a daily basis.
Advances in tooth care technology have led us to an even more efficient way of cleaning every day. You can clean your teeth like never before when using the Philips Sonicare Rechargeable Sonic Toothbrush. Plaque and other substances can be left dug into different parts of your teeth when using old toothbrushes. Your teeth will be cleaner than ever before when using a toothbrush with sonic technology to clean them. The feeling you have after visiting the dentist will be felt each time you brush your teeth.
These results are achieved with a variety of different methods. One of the methods it employs is your ability to choose from three different cleaning modes. These cleanings last for a total of two minutes, the recommended time frame, until the brush turns itself off automatically. Choosing from two different cleaning routines is another option you have. The routines are named max care and go clean respectively. For a quick brush between regular cleanings go clean is the one to use. Max care is used for your regular cleanings each day.
You should definitely switch to a sonicare toothbrush in order to maintain your dental health in life. These automatic toothbrushes are recommended by dental professionals everywhere. Continuously outperforming the competition in automatic brush technology is the Philips Sonicare toothbrush. It is proven to remove more plaque than the others and has an increased battery time in between charges. Add up all of these perks and what you end up with is the best home care available for your teeth.

While you might think of “ivy” as something beautiful and stately, you probably associate poison ivy with something entirely different; after all, poison ivy leaves a rash that can cause incessant itching for several weeks, and this is why it is important for anyone who spends time outside to know how to avoid and treat poison ivy.
Of course, avoiding poison ivy is your safest bet when it comes to poison ivy, and it is generally easy to spot for the way in which it grows: three leaves together, all with an almond shape. While there is actually a handful of plants that fit this description, anyone who is not an expert at identifying poison ivy will be wise to err on the safe side by avoiding all plants that fit this description.
The first thing you should do if you come in contact with poison ivy (despite your best efforts to avoid it) is to thoroughly wash everything that might have come in contact with the plant; this includes not only your skin, but your clothes as well!
After you have done this, you should immediately take a bath; draw a cool bath, add about five cups of either ground oatmeal or baking soda, and soak in this concoction for about a half an hour. Additionally, you can create a salve by making a paste out of baking soda and water, and completely covering the affected area.

One mistake a lot of people make is covering the rash to keep their fingers from scratching it, but you should actually leave the rash open to the air, as this will help it to heal much more quickly than if you cover it up.
You should have no problem getting your poison ivy to clear up in a week or two if you follow these steps, but if the problem becomes unbearable (and if you cannot refuse the urge to itch), visit your doctor, and allow him to prescribe something stronger!

If you prefer to sleep until the latest time possible – getting up with just enough breathing room for you to get dressed and head out for work – chances are pretty good that you are able to get up to your alarm without much problem, as you will know the moment that you hear your alarm that you absolutely have to get up! On the other hand, it can sometimes be difficult to bring yourself to get up when you hear that alarm go off if you like to start out your day by being productive by getting up before you “have to.”
When you are trying to get up before you “have to,” one of the best tools to use is an app such as the Sleep Cycle app; this app (and others like it) function by waking you up when you are at your lightest state of sleep – which is beneficial, because you will feel less tired when you are woken up at this point in your sleep.
People also have a tendency to lie in bed when their alarm goes off before they “have to” get up, talking their body into staying right there; practice getting out of bed right away (perhaps going to the bathroom to rinse your face and brush your teeth) and worry about “waking up” after that!
And finally, if you want to get out of bed before you have to, it all comes down to discipline – to a “choice” – and the best time to settle on making this choice is before you go to bed, deciding that you are going to get up the next morning (focusing on one morning at a time!) and not worry about whether you want more sleep.
Some people are still unable to get up when they want to even in spite of all these steps (and if this is the case for you, it might be best to simply try staying up a bit later and being productive then), but for most people, these steps are enough to help them get up before they have to!
